Former Wadsworth High School standout Kai Close pitched for the Charleston Golden Eagles as they earned a 4-3 win over the Wheeling Cardinals on Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m. in their NCAA Division II baseball game.

The teams met at JB Chambers I-470 Complex for their first clash of the season.

Close threw for one inning, issuing one walk and allowing one earned run.

Charleston is set to play the Wheeling Cardinals again on Saturday, March 14, at 4 p.m. at JB Chambers I-470 Complex.
