Former Medina High pitcher Luke Czarnomski competes as Marietta Pioneers fall 9-7 to Berry Vikings

Former Medina High School pitcher Luke Czarnomski took the mound for the Marietta Pioneers on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 1 p.m., as they dropped a 9-7 decision against the Berry Vikings in an NCAA Division III baseball game.

The matchup was held at Don and Sue Schaly Field at Pioneer Park and marked the teams’ second meeting of the season. The Pioneers defeated the Vikings 13-1 in the prior contest on Friday, Feb. 27.

Czarnomski pitched three innings, allowing three earned runs with one walk and four strikeouts.

The Pioneers will next take on the Berry Vikings again Sunday, March 1, at 12 p.m. at Don and Sue Schaly Field at Pioneer Park.
