Former Medina High School standout William Cornett and the Lake Erie Storm were defeated 8-7 by the Glenville State Pioneers in an NCAA Division II baseball contest on Sunday, March 8, at 3:30 p.m.

Sue Morris Sports Complex served as the venue for this game, marking the fourth meeting between the Storm and the Pioneers this season. In the earlier matchup on Sunday, March 8, the Storm fell to Glenville State by the same 8-7 margin.

Cornett gave up five earned runs in 2.1 innings, issuing three walks and striking out two.

The Storm is set to play next on Saturday, March 14, at 1 p.m. against the Ohio Dominican Panthers at Frank Damian Field.
