On Wednesday, April 23, former Medina Highland High School standout Paige Berkmeyer’s current college team, the Illinois Fighting Illini, won 9-2 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Northern Illinois Huskies.
The game took place at Eichelberger Field. This was their first matchup against the Huskies this season.
The Fighting Illini’s next game is scheduled for Friday, April 25 at 3 p.m. at Rutgers Softball Complex against Rutgers Scarlet Knights.
