On Wednesday, March 12, former Medina Highland High School standout Paige Berkmeyer’s current college team, the Illinois Fighting Illini, won 3-1 in their NCAA Division I softball game against the Illinois State Redbirds.

The game took place at Eichelberger Field. This was their first matchup against the Redbirds this season.

The Fighting Illini’s next game is scheduled for Friday, March 14 at 3 p.m. at Eichelberger Field against Wisconsin Badgers.
