City of Brunswick recently issued the following announcement.
Columbia Gas is scheduled to begin construction on a new gas line the evening of Sunday, October 24th. Construction will occur nightly from 8 pm to 6 am. Currently, they plan to work 5 to 6 days a week through the rest of the year. All work will take place outside of the SR 303 roadway. Installation of a small gas line will occur in front of Bob Evans, requiring removal and reinstallation of the sidewalk. The majority of the work will take place on the north side of SR 303 from the private drive for the Marc’s (former K-Mart) plaza next to Chase Bank and heading east to the I-71 bridge. Most of this will be open cut and will require removal and replacement of the sidewalk. Where the line crosses the slip and main exit ramps, the contractor will bore under the pavement. While working on the North side of the roadway, the contractor will need to close the slip ramp. On the south side, one lane of traffic will be closed nightly and all roadways opened to traffic while construction is not actively occurring.
