City of Rittman recently issued the following announcement.
Please place leaves on tree lawn. We ask that you do not place the leaves in the street as they get into the storm sewer system, plug the basin and storm lines and could cause backup into your home and neighboring homes if there is a hard rain. Avoid placing debris (sticks, trash, bricks, stones, etc.) in or on the leaf piles as this could damage the leaf machine or injure the workers. Any vehicles parked on the street blocking workers from getting to the leaf piles, will be passed up to avoid damage to the parked vehicles. Thank you for your cooperation.
