The Buckeye High School football team finished the season with an 8-4 record, including going 4-0 in league play, in a year in which the Bucks outscored opponents 280-204.

The Bucks top game was on Oct. 1 against Normandy where they cruised to a 57-12 victory, according to MaxPreps. Kaymen Marshall got the Bucks on the board quickly in the first quarter with a 35-yard rushing touchdown, followed by a Ben Dover extra point to make it a 7-0 game. The Bucks continued their strong first-quarter play with an 18-yard fumble return taken back for a touchdown to go up by two scores.
The Buckeyes then blocked a punt to put them on the Normandy seven-yard-line, but fumbled to put the ball back on the Normandy one-yard-line. The Buckeye defense stacked up a run for a safety to make it a 16-0 game. This was followed by a kickoff return of 71 yards by Marshall. The first quarter dominance continued with Dover running the ball in from eight yards out for a score. He made the extra point to go up 30-0. After a Buckeye pick, Marshall added to the lead with a 35 yard touchdown run and an extra point made it 37-0 with two minutes left in the quarter. As time wound down in the first frame, Marshall scored again on a 61-yard punt return, and the extra point made it 44-0.
Normandy finally got on the board with five minutes left in the half to make it 44-6, but the Bucks scored on a touchdown pass right before the second quarter ended on a 25-yard pass to go up 50-6. In the third quarter the team went up 57-6 on a 4-yard touchdown pass before Normandy scored to make it 57-12 for the final.
Another big win for Buckeye this season include a home playoff win over River Valley by a score of 35-28. The team had two shutout wins coming against Cloverleaf by a score of 10-0 in week one and Lakewood on Oct. 8 by a score of 17-0.
