Senate Bill 215, which takes effect June 13

Z

OH Senate Bill 215, which takes effect June 13th, allows a person to carry a concealed handgun without a permit. The Buckeye State Sheriff’s Association created this informative Power Point to answer questions and increase understanding of the new legislation.

For example, people who travel outside Ohio still need to have a valid license to carry a concealed handgun in other states that still require a permit. In addition, we still strongly encourage those that are carrying a firearm promptly notify law enforcement during any interaction.

We hope you find this information helpful.
