The Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities (MCBDD) is seeking a candidate to serve as a Board Member effective December 1, 2022 through December 31, 2024. The MCBDD is comprised of seven volunteer members who are appointed by the Medina County Commissioners or a Medina County Probate Judge. Board members terms receive no compensation for their service.
By design, the MCBDD Board is specifically comprised of a balance between members who have relatives with developmental disabilities and community members who do not have a direct connection to the field. The Board is currently seeking a candidate who has a background in Medical/Health Care and has a child who is eligible to receive services from the MCBDD. Applicant must be a Medina County resident, able to attend regularly scheduled monthly meetings which are typically held on the fourth Monday of each month at the MCBDD Achievement Center, and complete an additional four hours of training in the field of developmental disabilities per year.
Additional information about Board Member roles and responsibilities may be found on the MCBDD website at www.mcbdd.org under the “About” tab. If interested in being considered to serve on the MCBDD Board, please contact Rhonda Beck at the Medina County Commissioners’ Office at rbeck@ohmedinaco.org or 330-722-9208 for an application. Applications along with letters of interest are due by Tuesday, November 15, 2022.
