February 5-11 is National Burn Awareness Week. The theme for 2023 is “Hot Liquids Burn Like Fire!” A scald is a burn from hot liquids or steam. A scald injury can happen to anyone. Scalds can occur by water from a hot faucet or hot liquids from a microwave.
