It is mating season for coyotes which are commonly found in Ohio.
During this time, we encourage pet owners to not leave pets unattended. Coyotes, like other wildlife, are often attracted to areas within the city in search of food and water. Removing pet food and garbage from your property can help to deter them.
Coyotes, which prefer not to interact with humans, can be scared off by loud clapping or shouting.
