State Representative Sharon Ray of Wadsworth has reintroduced House Bill 276, initially presented during the 135th General Assembly. The bill addresses constituent concerns regarding a proposed highway interchange in Brunswick, Medina County. Ray is joined by State Representative Melanie Miller of Ashland in sponsoring the legislation.

The proposed bill aims to repeal a section of the State Transportation Budget for fiscal years 2024-25. This section mandates the Ohio Department of Transportation to construct an interchange on I-71 at Boston Road in Brunswick.

Ray expressed her commitment to the residents, stating, "I will continue fighting for the citizens of Brunswick and Medina County as a whole." She further emphasized that "this interchange will have a negative financial impact on the surrounding area, jeopardize the safety of the community, and force residents of Medina County to lose their homes through eminent domain."

The legislation is currently awaiting assignment of a bill number and committee placement.
