City of Wadsworth issued the following announcement on Jan. 19.
It is the responsibility of City of Wadsworth property owners to clear snow from their properties. City ordinance requires the removal of snow within 24 hours of a snowfall. This is particularly important along school pedestrian routes to prevent children from having to walk in the street. As a property owner, you’re responsible for removing snow from all sidewalks on or adjacent to your property. This includes sidewalks in your front, back, or side yard in addition to sidewalk ramps to crosswalks. Please keep snow on your property, don’t throw or push snow into streets, alleys, or gutters.
This can create numerous traffic and safety hazards. It is imperative that large piles of snow obstructing sidewalks, crosswalks and creating intersection site line issues be removed immediately and before they ice over in the coming days.
