In their social studies class, students in Ms. Pienta’s class at Kidder Elementary School learned about their right to petition and how that can help change the world around them. They invited Mr. Niedermeyer, the Superintendent, to discuss a petition they created for a district-wide hat day to support school spirit. Thoroughly impressed with their presentation, Mr. Niedermeyer declared Friday, October 7th, a hat spirit day across the district!
We encourage all students and staff to wear their favorite school-appropriate hats to promote school spirit. Thank you to Ms. Pienta’s students for organizing this initiative!
