The district has an opportunity from the Ohio Facilities Construction Commission (OFCC) to receive state funding for 39% of the cost of building a new high school. On August 2, the Board of Education voted to place a 3.9 mill bond issue on the November 8 ballot to fund the implementation of the Master Facilities Plan, which includes a new high school as its primary component.
The proposed bond issue will cost taxpayers $7.14/month per $100,000 of home value.
